Homeschool transcript basics
Colleges and employers usually ask for a clear record of courses — not a fancy seal. Here’s how parent-directed transcripts work in the U.S.
Life Academy provides Program Completion Certificate / transcript documentation for completed coursework. This is not a state diploma and the program is not currently accredited. Answer accreditation questions honestly.
What a usable transcript includes
- Student name and years covered
- Course titles (English 9, Algebra I, Biology, U.S. History…)
- Credits for high school (course names colleges already know)
- Grades or mastery notes (parent-calculated GPA if needed)
- Signature of parent/guardian as school official
Life Academy printables
K–5, then 6–8, then 9–12
- Elementary: mastery record and a completion certificate. No high-school credits yet — this is promotion into middle school.
- Middle school: pathway credits and letter grades so the record already looks serious.
- High school: credits, GPA, course titles colleges recognize, including Spanish I–II. Parent signs as school official.
