Parent Onboarding — First 7 Days

Day 0 (before teaching)

1. 1. Print Week 1 packet OR open on tablet
2. 2. Gather: pencils, crayons, 20 counters (beans/coins), blank paper, timer
3. 3. Set a consistent start time
4. 4. Tell your child: “We’re learning real skills — reading, math, and life.”

Day 1–5

Follow Week 1 lessons exactly. Don’t skip ahead.

If a lesson fails: repeat the You do section the next day before moving on.

Mastery rule

A skill is “done” when the child can do it alone, correctly, most of the time — not when you’ve “covered” the page.

Tracking

Use the Progress Sheet:

• - ✅ Mastered
• - 🔁 Needs more practice
• - ⛔ Stuck (use remediation card)
